New CX500 Project

Hello,

First of all I would like to apologise for writting in English, but I am from Greece and I do not speak German.

Well, I want to buy a Honda CX500 '80. Unfortunately, I can not find that kind of model in Greece. The good news are that
I've found plenty models of the CX in Germany and in very good prices too.

As it seems, I am going to visit Germany and buy my bike. Now what I want, is do the "modificationt" to cafe racer there,
in Germany, because of course there are are workshops in Greece but as proffesional as in Germany.

So it seems that i found my bike, I would like some suggestions with workshops. I suppose that you have to send me a private message because of the forum rules..

I think, it would be a little bit difficult, to proceed as your suggestion.
A Conversion like this will not be made in a few hours, so you have to plan a longer visit in Germany or you have to come a second time to Germany to collect the bike after the conversion. I think, it would be more practical, to buy a already converted bike, s.a. the bikes in the weblinks below the text. Truly, it will be also cheaper, to buy a converted bike, as the workshop labourrates in Germany are on a much higher level as in Greece, and you will have to pay for all the neccessary parts the price of the pricelists. On a converted Bike, you will get all the parts in a much lower range and already mounted.

To suggest a workshop is also a problem, as we do not know, where you will buy your bike. E.g., you will find the bike in Bavaria, the suggested workshop is located in Niedersachsen, this would cause an additional trip of roundabout 800 KM to get the bike delivered to the workshop.

Maybe it would be helpful, to know more details of your planning.

Obelix, thank you for your reply. Well money, time and distance is not a problem for me. I insist to buy the bike that I like and do the convertion that I will choose. So any new suggestions?

Ελληνικά μου δεν είναι καλά. Σε τεχνικά θέματα , είναι καλύτερα να γράψει στα αγγλικά.
Mein Griechisch ist nicht besonders gut. Bei technischen Themen ist es besser, in englisch zu schreiben.
